Unresolved $70 refund on closed Xfinity Mobile account — Chat ID [Edited: Personal Information]
My Xfinity Mobile service was disconnected on July 8, 2026. I am still trying to obtain a refund that was promised when the service was canceled.
On June 28, 2026, Xfinity Mobile charged my card $76.83 for a mobile line I was no longer using. I had permanently moved outside the United States and believed I had canceled all my Xfinity services before leaving.
On July 8, I spoke with Xfinity Mobile agent [Edited: Personal Information]. During that conversation, he deactivated the mobile line and confirmed that I would not be charged going forward. He also applied a $70 credit to my mobile account.
When I asked about the $76.83 already charged to my card, Balraj advised me to contact Xfinity again in one month. He explained that, because the service was canceled, the credit would be automatically refunded to my original payment method. I relied on that explanation, but I have not received the promised refund.
On September 4, 2026, I submitted a formal refund request through Xfinity’s online form for $70. The confirmation stated that the request could take up to 7 business days and that I would receive an update by email. As of September 23, 2026, I have received neither the refund nor a resolution.
I have since received an email stating that a separate $1.31 remaining credit will be refunded by paper check to my former U.S. service address. That is not the refund I am seeking. I now live outside the United States and cannot receive or cash a check mailed to that address. My outstanding issue is the $70 refund promised by [Edited: Personal Information], related to the original $76.83 charge. I need that refund returned to my original payment card, not issued as a paper check.
My account is now closed, and Xfinity Assistant will not connect me to a live agent because the account is inactive. This has left me without an effective way to follow up on the refund.
Could an Xfinity Mobile support representative please:
Review my conversation with Balraj using Chat ID [Edited: Personal Information] and locate my refund request submitted on September 4.
Confirm where the $70 credit was applied and why it has not been refunded.
Arrange for the outstanding refund to be returned to my original payment card, rather than mailed as a paper check.
Provide a case number and a written update on the resolution.
I can provide screenshots of the original charge, the chat conversation, the refund request confirmation, and the final bill privately.
Thank you for your assistance.
