Universal Connectivity Charge?????

Why I’m the world is going on? I spoke to 6 different representatives without an answer as to why this charge is increasing every single month. They are slowly chipping away at my affordable mobile costs. I am considering jumping ship for me and my 3 family members. I cannot take this lack of information. It’s like pulling teeth.

@user_a8746b I definitely understand how frustrating it can be not knowing why certain fees are increasing. Our Mobile team would be the right place to speak with someone about the fee.

You can contact our Xfinity Mobile support center via any of the following methods:

• SMS Text Message: 1 (888) 936-4968

• Phone: 1 (888) 936-4968

I just saw my Universal Connectivity Charge increase $3.50 and the woman I spoke with on the phone kept talking in circles and never actually gave me a straight answer. She blamed it on me adding a line onto my plan and guaranteed it would be back to normal next month. I'm not happy at all with this service right now and am glad to know that I'm not the only one. This line that I added was for my mother who is on a fixed income from social security. We went in with a specific number in mind because of what the sales agent told us. If it's not accurate next month, I'll definitely be looking into changing my service provider. It's not like my internet connection is great anyway. I constantly lose my wifi at home for no reason.

@user_065c19.

While our team does not have access to Xfinity Mobile accounts, we can help with your internet issues. I'm confident that we can help turn this around for you. Let's meet in DM to get started.

To send a direct message [private message]:

  •    Click "Sign In" if necessary
  •    Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://comca.st/3RLp8by
  •    Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  •    The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  •    - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  •    - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  •    Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  •    Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.

I am an Official Xfinity Employee.

@user_065c19 I can tell you what it is. It's to recover the costs of the federal connectivity for low income families. You can get $30 off your bill each month. They will not tell you this because they are a corporation and will find a way to get that money back.
