Still waiting for iPhone to be unlocked

I am switching providers and my number has already been transferred to the new provider. I didn't realize that my phone was locked by Xfinity because I had paid for it outright. I reached out to support and eventually, they unlocked my wife's phone but said they had to escalate the unlocking on mine to someone else. That was over 48 hours ago. I have been without a working phone for two days with absolutely no update or way to check the status of my ticket.

And I am creating this post because apparently you can't DM the support team on here until you do.

We do ask you to post publicly as there may be other users who can benefit from reading the resolution to a similar concern. This also helps us properly address a concern and routing it to us in a timely manner. 

 

With that said I do see that we have created a new ticket for your request. We will be able to provide updates and account specific information through the direct message.
