SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN
I am trying to get my SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN and have been asking for 8 days. We did get one of our phones unlocked but we have yet to receive the SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN for the other phone.
What I found out:
- First many of the Xfinity agents I talked to by phone, chat or in person at the retail stores have not been able to help.
- After 5 days I was “allowed” to speak to an “advanced team member” from xfinity who sent an email to the manufacturer of my phone so they could get the SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN, then email it to me.
- However, I did find out that in addition to sending an email to the manufacturer of your phone, mine is samsung, there is another option: Xfinity could call, speak with their SAMSUNG MANAGERS to get the code. Why they have been stringing me along for 8 days baffles me.
- To further enlighten anyone about the process, when someone wants to get another carrier for their phone, you must call Xfinity, request to PORT OUT your number to another carrier, they give you a TRANSFER PIN, which allows your current phone number to be taken with you to another carrier. Then you need to also use your zip code on your account and your phone number. But after your number is ported to another carrier you must have a SIM NETWORK UNLOCK PIN.
- The SIM UNLOCK PIN is a number created to prevent people who owe Xfinity from leaving without paying all charges pending on their account.
If anyone else has any other information to add, I’d appreciate any help on this!!

Here is the transfer/port out policy:

Phones must be unlocked before they can be transferred. Two different processes.
