Samsung voicemail fix
These steps fixed the problem on my Samsung s22 Note with the "visual" voicemail app not working with Xfinity.
Go to Settings > Apps > Visual Voicemail or Voicemail. Click Force stop. (This was important!)
Then click on Storage. Do Clear cache and then Clear data.
Then go to Settings then open General Management look for reset and reset mobile network settings only.
Then go back to your phone home screen. Open Visual Voicemail. It will then go through its setup and ask for the permissions it needs.
Note: I had to boot my phone to get the last voicemail setup step to work.

My voicemail doesn't work, and these fixes aren't working for me... I have a Galaxy S22 which I bought from Samsung.com. I initially had Cricket, and it worked fine. Since switching to xfinity, my voicemail has not worked.

Worked for me on a Samsung Z-Flip 4. Had previously cleared cache and data followed by a restart. Found another pointer to this method so I can now delete all of the spam voicemails that built up while I was in Europe.

Did not fix this issue. Voicemail app will not start and always ends on "contact carrier". Who, of course, can't do anything about an app that doesn't work.
Update: what worked for me was turning off my Avast Internet protection and VPN. Guessing the app didn't like the spoofed IP address.
