Samsung LTE watch won't work with xfinity.

I just ordered a Samsung Active2 Watch for my son for Christmas.  NOW I hear that Xfinity does not support it on LTE????  What the heck Xfinity.  Every other mobile service does.  What is your problem????  Do I have to return the Watch?

I spoke to an Xfinity rep this past Saturday, February 20th, 2021, when I was considering switching from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile. I have a phone and a Galaxy watch. The rep said no problem, just add the watch via the app after you activate the phone, share the data. I called again tonight (February 24th) after receiving the phone, to get some clarity on the activation procedure, and...surprise! The rep knew nothing about activating Samsung watches. I Googled while she was looking for info and found this thread from TWO YEARS AGO. So an Xfinity rep lied, either purposefully or ignorantly, about Xfinity providing service to Samsung watches. So if I want to keep any use of my watch, it simply turns into a Bluetooth-only thing. Which I could have bought for much, much less money. The standalone line/service was the entire point.

I really hope Xfinity gets its act together and begins to support Samsung watches soon. I'm not buying Apple anything. It's made me seriously reconsider starting Xfinity mobile service.

this is ridiculous. Xfinity should just tell us the truth. The fact that you use Verizon platform means that we should be able to get all that Verizon offers. I bought a note 20 ultra 5G. xfinity says its not compatible, verizon and all other networks have it as being compatible.  i had to switch my line from xfinity to Verizon to give my phone and watch full usability. so now i am on verizon and my family is on xfinity. Just tell us the truth, are you being pressured by the parent company to make our phones seem antiquated?

Phantom.....

Same! I bought my watch after specifically asking! A while ago now! I'm tired of waiting! Also, I was supposed to receive a gc after a promotion not a small one either. They sent it to my old address even though in the system it has my new address. Then told me as long as no one used it, we can reissue it to you. Wth is not going to open an envelope that says your $400 card enclosed!?! So now I am that as well!
