Renewed Desire for Xfinity Mobile Data Usage Widget

When Xfinity ended its separate Xfinity Mobile app a few years ago in favor of the more general Xfinity app, it included the death of the Data Usage Widget. Despite reassurances from representatives here, the inclusion of data usage information in the Xfinity app is not the same functionality as having a home screen widget that shows this information at a glance. Access to this information throughout the plan month is essential for those of us using a shared by-the-gig data plan, and even unlimited plan users benefit from knowing how close they are to throttling data speeds.

I've gotten by using the only third-party app I could find that allowed me to link our two devices sharing data to show total shared data usage, My Data Manager. This week, that app stopped updating shared data usage (but still shows my individual device usage accurately). I've tried clearing app cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling, and contacting the developer for assistance but cannot get it working again.

This leaves me renewing my plea to Xfinity developers to add the data usage widget option back into the Xfinity app or separately.  Xfinity Mobile has for years marketed the benefits of BTG shared data plans combined with its broad Wi-Fi network availability. Lately any device discount offers are only available for switching to Unlimited Premium plans (disappointing). Please help us manage our data usage by restoring this widget.
