Phone number

Hi, 

I received a SIM card which was not activated for 3 days. I switched my phone to T-Mobile but still need the same number. They won’t give me the transfer pin because they are trying to text the phone number that I don’t have access to. I went in the store and same results. I still own that phone line so please help me. I’ve had the number for over 8 years
