Old School Flip Phone Compatibility?

I know that XFinity does not sell any old school flip phones but is there an option to buy one from a third party (Best Buy, etc.) and get it connected w/ Xfinity plan and account. I want to get my 10 year old daughter a phone but I do NOT want a smart phone. Just texting and calling. Is this an option?
