No cell data connectivity when there was a local power failure in the neighborhood
Today we had a power outage in our area affecting about 3000+ customers. During that time, our 3 phones' cell data network was not working (or worked intermittently few times). Two of the phones were showing "Xfinity Mobile LTE" on the top and one was "3G". 3G phone appeared to have a slightly better luck in connecting to internet few times during that outage time. The voice line was working. I am trying to figure out or understand why this happened. This has started raising doubt in my mind about xfinity mobile's dependency in a moment of crisis like this. We don't lose power that often. So even if I want to I can not test this to comfort myself. Any other suggestions ? (Power got restored in an hour and now all is fine)
I started a chat with xfinity support. She/he asked few questions and abruptly ended the chat session without resolving. She/he was thinking of running diagnostics on the phone before escalating. This was not one phone but all the three had issues.

Denver area yesterday was struck with heavy storms that knocked out our power for over 15 hours. Both my wife and I encountered this exact same issue you had where phone showed full LTE service, voice and text worked, yet data did not. Luckily we had family here that was with us on other carriers that had zero issue during this entire time, so updates could be obatined. This has made me question my service as well. Can someone from Xfinity explain why this happens and if there is a way to avoid this?

Not sure if this is true and if so, if it has anything to do with the issue.
But it would be nice if someone from xfinity can explain the above issue.
I am seriously thinking of not depending on just one carrier for all the lines in our house.
