New device on old line/number

My sons phone stopped working so I added a line on my plan and purchased the device I had wanted to upgrade to. Is it possible to have the new number for that device switched to my old line so that I can take the new phone and keep my old number?

Contact customer service by calling 611 on one of your phones or use the chat feature when you are logged into your account and they can switch the numbers.  You can also just switch the SIM cards from phone to phone but should contact customer service for the numbers to be switched on your account.
