Mobile scam

Hi, less than a month ago while registering for Internet services an agent talked me into switching to Xfinity mobile service for my two lines. The deal was two FREE Galaxy A36 phones, $20 per month per line unlimited data, a $40 discount for my home Internet services for a year, and a $100 gift card. This was all as clear as day. When I was registering I paid $253 for the phones, and the agent said that included the taxes for the phones ($65), and ~$190 for phone down-payments and the first payments installments THAT WOULD BE REFUNDED. I'm looking at my future bill and it now shows additional payments for the next month's bill. I am chatting with an agent right now absolutely losing my mind because he said that the phones were not free from what he could see. I was told point blank when making this deal that the phones were free, that the payments would be refunded in my subsequent billing. Is this some sort of [Edited: "Language"] deceptive scam that these people are running or what??? I was expecting to be paying ~$65 for Internet and Mobile ($15 internet after discount, 2 x $20 for mobile, ~$10 for fees), but apparently the phones aren't actually free at all. It's in the chat I had with the agent while registering as clear as day that the phones were effectively free...apart from the taxes. [Edited: "Language"] is going on...

I do believe it is  scam - Xfinity quotes almost half price of Verizon plans but when I went to transfer a phone line its $40/line - EXACTLY what I pay Verizon! So where is the savings? I am a firm supporter of Xfinity internet services and wanted to give their Wireless a try on one line before possibly transferring over the other three, but NO THANKS! So disappointed in Xfinity had hoped they were better than the other wireless companies but NOT - may consider getting rid of them for my internet services as well as no longer trust them.

Hello @user_c18uzy. Thank you for reaching out on our Community Forum. I understand your frustration. We do have many options when it comes to Xfinity mobile pricing. Currently we do not charge 40 a line. I would love to assist you if you do decide that you want to go over pricing options.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and address so that we can assist you further.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
