I suggest setting up a GTP for each of your phones from the Xfinity Mobile App in advance, like now, as this ensures that each line is ready and capable for international use. You can turn off a GTP if you decide to just use Pay as you go when you actually travel.
Your best bet when traveling internationally on vacation is to just use WiFi Calling when you are at your resort or hotel. Remember you are on vacation, enjoy yourself.
Be aware that although international roaming gets better every year, not all resort areas have good cellular coverage, and WiFi can also vary.

You probably should have titled this as “Travel/Roaming in Dominican Republic”
And YES you can roam in the Dominican Republic with a Global Travel Pass (GTP) or Pay as you go. Here is a link to International Travel and Roaming: https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/support/article/traveling-internationally
