iPhone 13 Pro Shipping Times?

I pre-ordered an upgrade for iPhone on Friday. I know it's a bit soon but has anyone seen the 'Shipped' status update yet?

Ordered a gold color w/ 256gb if that matters.

Thanks!

I will never pre order anything from xfinity again. I have been with them for 4 years. The whole purpose of a pre order is to get it on release day before everyone else. I was told by xfinity that when you pre order it fills the pre orders from first come first serve. So in my case my pre order is on back order. But little Timmy who didnt pre order the phone walked in and got his yesterday. That being said why did i pre order? I could have not pre ordered and walked in and got one yesterday. Its all bs

I too "Pre"Ordered my 256gb 13 Pro Max on the 17th. Right after they went live. No phone and no shipping date. Xfinity lost a new customer before they even had me!

@user_ed4558 same exact thing with me. I hadn’t even activated the new line and they lost me.

Why do y’all think it’s xfinitys fault? It’s not there fault.  The pro max phones are late shipping because they had so many pre orders.   They will ship them when they get them.  I’m still waiting for mine too, but I’m not gonna get upset over it because they just haven’t received all the phones.

@user_cae4a5 we are upset because they gave us a false date on the preorder had they said October or November that’s fine with me . They also took my money from my card and won’t refund it so I’m out of money and no phone because apparently they can’t cancel my order I have to wait until I get the phone then send it back if I want a refund lol . At that point I’ll just keep it 👍🏻

@user_cae4a5 Xfinity fails to give an estimated shipping date and if you try to contact xfinity you may get different answer every time. And in the worst case, people's order is charged but isn't shipped and cannot be cancelled. I also choose to wait but I totally understand why people get mad at Xfinity.

I was initially told by the rep who I preorder with (on Friday the 17th first thing in the morning) that the phone (iPhone 13 Mini) would ship ON Friday the 24th. Then on the 24th I did a virtual chat to confirm a tracking number and the rep told me it hadn't shipped yet, but I would receive the tracking number THAT day and that the phone would arrive by the end of the day. I must have pressed "Recieve a call back" at some point prior to speaking with the virtual rep, so after the chat ended another agent called me. This agent told me that the phones had not been received on Xfinity's end and I'd receive the tracking whenever they got them in, but he couldn't confirm a date.

What was the point of preordering a phone if I still have to wait and be in the unknown about when I'll be receiving my new phone? I've been without a phone for 2 weeks now, since the new iPhone was releasing just when I had broken my old iPhone 8, I decided to wait an extra week and get the newest release instead of a 12 Mini. I preordered early on the first day of preorders. This makes no sense at all.

My wife had a horrible experience when she ordered a new iPad through Xfinity. They are extremely poor communication. If we paid our bills the way that Xfinity comes through on their commitments for purchases of equipment, they would not be very pleased. I ordered mine on the morning of the 17th and every time I check I am told that they will tell me when they send it. The fact that they originally committed to the 24th is not a factor. They don’t have a clue or customer service is.

[Edited: "Solicitation"] Even if it Xfinity did get shorted on the number of devices that they received they are still required by federal law to notify customers of a delay and seek consent from the customers that they are ok with the delay. The moment Xfinity charged your card on file, they created an expectation that your order was shipping.

@user_cedc52 As someone with a legal background and education and not an employee of Xfinity or any of it’s affiliates there’s no basis to file an AG complaint against Xfinity because you preordered an iPhone and a hold was placed and you haven’t received tracking information for the new phone. There’s terms and conditions and arbitration agreements that hold Xfinity harmless in the event that there is an inventory issue and they are unable to fulfill a preorder. The phone isn’t just sold out at Xfinity it’s sold out everywhere. An AG will entertain your complaint because they have to but nothing will come out of that unfortunately. I wish you luck.

I’m surprised to learn that someone with a legal background doesn’t understand the difference between a charge and a hold. Many of us customers have had a charge placed on our cards. As for action, many states, as well as the Federal Government have what are commonly referred to as, consumer protections laws. One example would be the FTC’s ruling on online, telephone, and mail order merchandise orders, which stipulates that businesses must present customers with the option to cancel an order when a delay will effect the delivery frame first promised (in our cases, the written statement from Xfinity that our cards would not be charged until our orders shipped). Violation of this ruling can result in an investigation and a possible fine of up to $43,792 per violation, including with the prior 5 years.

Perhaps one valuable takeaway from this is that, law is not just some small subject, some of us have chosen to specialize in particular fields, including consumer protection. And thus, may actually know what we’re talking about.

No I have heard about it I would just challenge you to re-think about the situation with common sense…so you’re telling me that Xfinity is taking a risk with thousands and thousands of orders of holding people’s funds and deliberately delaying their orders to commit a federal FTC charge and not provide goods violation? I mean every carrier that has a few instances of that would be out of business if the violations stacked up the way you’re suggesting. I do agree with you there could be better communication.

As far as the holds and charges; I think some of that is your financial institution and some of that is the backend of the carrier determining receipt of stock to satisfy your order.

Oddly in my case Xfinity released the hold on my credit card for my 2 devices after they were shipped and then I was charged a few days later and they posted.

So everyone’s had a different experience. I definitely don’t think your wrong for being upset and I think your totally justified in wanting answers I just think that an AG complaint route would be wasting your time. Perhaps the BBB can get you more information?

@iPhoneGuy86 so let me get this straight… Your point is that there is no way that Xfinity (or any other large company) would do something illegal and therefore no one should reach out to their state Attorney General? In your world, what exactly is it that an Attorney General does?

“If you pre-ordered a device before the launch date, your order will ship on the day your device launches. If your device is backordered, we'll ship it to you as soon as it becomes available. You'll get a shipping-confirmation email when your order is on its way.”

Good luck building a case, as they are very clear about how it works.

It’s pretty telling too how nobody at Xfinity is responding to any messages in this thread either. They are laughing all the way to the bank. The customer isn’t important to them. Well the joke is on them, my wife won’t be switching her line to Xfinity.

After canceling my order (it never shipped either)and getting my phone at the Apple store I decided to go with Visible. Visible is owned by Verizon and is NOT a mvno like Xfinity. For me and wife it will will be $35 per month per line. I received the first month of service for $5 and if I stay for 3 months I get a $100 gift card. Looks like they have some great deals if you want to purchase an IPhone 13 through them.

@Rep1973 never heard of them, thanks for sharing. I will look into them.

@Rep1973 You are correct that it’s not an MVNO but it is a prepaid service-so the coverage footprint is going to be slightly different than Verizon’s actual primary network otherwise they would lose all

their customers to Visible.

I don't think the coverage with Visible will be any different than Verizon and it certainly won't be any different than the coverage you'd receive from Xfinity. Verizon is a bell brand and they have excellent customer service for which corporations and certain individuals is an absolute requirement. Visbile, not so much so in that regard so it's a trade off. Plus you won't get roaming with Visible but as far as I'm concerned this isn't an issue where I live.

It is definite a different footprint. My gf got visible and I’m on xfinity. My xfinity is a little less of a footprint than when I had Verizon and her Visible is pretty much garbage coverage compared to my xfinity coverage.

Has anyone received the 13 pro max I preordered the phone on September 18th and today it was cancelled due to an internal issue so a manager randomly cancelled it so I had to preorder again and now its showing November 12th for delivery date?

Apples website is saying delivery for the following:

13 and 13 Mini: Oct 13-15
13 Pro and Pro Max: Oct 26 - Nov 2

If this is true.. this is a total shit show. Unacceptable. This means I'll have been without ANY phone now for a little over a full month at the time.
Had they not LIED I wouldn't be upset. I couldv'e gone a different route and made a better choice for myself. Imagine going a month with no phone in 2021. It's messing up business and family being able to contact me.

@XANTANA I completely agree I was told multiple different dates :(. it is so upsetting to hear this I was told September 27-29th then I got told October and now today I was told November 12th I had to re purchase my phone because it got canceled by an xfinity manager because of internal problem with shipping?.  I was not too happy about this.

@user_7d8765 Sorry to hear of your poor experience as well. It seems to be common for a lot us right now. It also seems our hands are tied if we are unable to cancel out pre-orders. I'll have to look into that.

Also just confirmed this on another website. Here's the link below. They are saying the same thing.

https://www.gizchina.com/2021/09/23/iphone-13-pro-shipments-to-start-late-in-october/

"IPHONE 13 PRO AND IPHONE 13 PRO MAX SHIPMENTS DELAYED ACROSS THE WORLD

Going back to the iPhones, the slow delivery seems to be affecting both the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. No matter the color choice, memory option, or carrier service you select. For a quick comparison, the vanilla iPhone 13 and the 13 mini are going to users much faster. If you purchase any of these today, you’ll receive them in October 11 to 13."

Elliott Advocacy is a not-for-profit organization that helps people help themselves.  [Edited: "Solicitation"]

Not sure if this will help since the phones are delayed over the world, but worth a try.

They recommend:

  • Writing one at a time starting with the lowest person on the rung
  • Wait at least one week between each email
  • Keep to emails - serves as a great paper trail
  • Bullet points
  • Keep emotions out, just keep to the points
  • Be polite
  • Do not threaten to leave, sue, etc.  No incentive to help if you do

We just had Xfinity state that they never charged our account and then change their story to "the charge got returned as insufficient funds" even after we showed screenshots of our bank account showing the charge that very clearly went through on 09/23/2021.

If you were charged and have not yet received shipping information for your order you may want to reach out to your bank. Xfinity is claiming to not have received the funds and running away with people's money.

I highly advise posting your stories publicly on social media and tagging Comcast accounts. It’s a win for them when these types of things are contained within a message board. But when a broader audience can see, they are more likely to respond or at least get the message across to decision makers at the company. I don’t even think they bother checking anyone’s messages once a thread is marked as “solved”.
