International Roaming Features
I'm planning a trip to France next week and expect to receive just a few phone calls and texts while there. I don't need data service and don't want to pay $10/day for Global Travel Pass. My international roaming is turned off. The Xfinity information says that I can make phone calls and texts at the pay as you go rates with this setup, but it doesn't say if I can receive calls or texts while there. Does anyone know the answer to this?

We recently returned from a month in Norway and the United Kingdom. We made and received calls (although the calls I received were from the states and went to voicemail due to the time change) and texts while there. We only made very short calls and also if you have Wi-Fi calling enabled you don't have to pay for them if using Wi-Fi. My additional charges were .80 cents and my wife's were .70 cents for the entire month. Also if you have an unlocked compatible phone you can get an additional eSIM for data like Airalo which has very good rates and allows you to still use your normal phone number for calls and texts but have data capabilities when away from Wi-Fi. We did the same thing a few years ago for another trip to Europe and had similar small charges. Hope this helps. Attached is a copy of my phone and text charge for the month

Hi there @user_75b60a! If you choose to not add our Global Travel pass you can simply pay for the calls and text you do make/receive. Pleae visithttps://www.xfinity.com/mobile/support/article/traveling-internationally for more information. I hope this helps!
