Images not being sent via text message

I have recently switched from Verizon to Xfinity.  Since then, there are certain numbers I cannot send images to in messages.  I get a Not Delivered returned to me.  But there are others I can send to with no issues.  This was not a problem before.

It happens on both Android and iPhone and they are specific not random.

I have researched the problem and have tried them all include Network Reset, making sure items were turned on, and I even did a Factory Reset on my iPhone so we were starting from scratch.

None of these worked.  I spent most of the day with Comcast support and their suggestions was everything I tried so they said to go to Apple.  I did that first and they told me to contact Comcast.

Anyone else experiencing this issue and resolved it?

PS: and it is not just me, my son has the same issue, but my wife and daughter do not.  We've check the IOS version and they are either up to date or a version back.

As an update to this, the number I am trying to send images to also cannot send images to me.  On their end it does not show it was not sent.

Hi @bfry2461. I'm sorry to hear that this has started happening after joining our Xfinity Mobile family. I can certainly understand how frustrating it would be to not be able to send pictures to friends and family. I do apologize though, due to account security our options with Xfinity Mobile accounts are very limited here on our Community Forums. My best recommendation to get the best help with this is to contact our XM experts either by phone or chat and I will include the contact info below.

I left T-mobile thinking that Xfinity mobile is better on May 2022. I was able to send picture mail through text without any issues from T-mobile. I have the Samsung Galaxy Ultra 21+. I also have Xfinity wifi so why isn't my picture mail being sent. This is frustrating. Please help.

@user_31f72a On my end, the reason was that my two phones were 5G capable.  There was a setting that was not set on Xfinity's side.  I went to their store and they gave me a new SIM card with the correct settings which fixed the issue.

I have all new xfinity devices and SIM cards and none of them can MMS each other. Outside network numbers work fine, but between xfinity numbers MMS is broken. Looking at the forums and web it seems like this has been an issue for a long time. Should have done my research.

Me too - I’m glad I narrowed down the issue to Xfinity at least. Everything was fine when I first switched from Verizon to Xfinity a few months ago, now this month I can’t send my dad any pics and vice versa.

@user_965ddc

whatever the issue is, mine resolved with a new phone. Was using an iPhone 8 Plus, now on a 14 Pro. I also started receiving group messages as of this morning that I didn’t realize I was missing! These are non-iMessage group messages. Apparently I haven’t been receiving them since the end of July, so I guess thanks for that, Xfinity. Here’s hoping the issues stay at bay and everyone else here is able to resolve their issues!
