I was scammed!!

I am writing on behalf of My 92 year old father walked into an infinity store to inquire about his bill when he was scammed into a mobility line contract with a “free” iPad.  I was not informed about this until recently when I attempted to unlock the iPad.  I was not successful following the directions on the Apple website to unlock it so I told my dad we’d take it to the Apple Store for help. That’s when we learned the iPad was a counterfeit.  That’s when I began my search for iPad scams & found this forum.  Most folks reporting a scam were mailed an iPad.  My father received his IPad in-Store which means a third part intervened & exchanged the Apple iPad for a counterfit. This is a huge mess that I am not sure how to untangle but from what I have learned, this forum is a crucial component in starting the reporting of fraud.  I need help & my dad needs help too so I appreciate any guidance.
