I was given false information and charged without my consent

I got an offer from xifinity agent that I will get ten months free if I changed my phone lines from At&T to xifinity. I will only pay tax for the first ten months then $40 after ten month. The saved all the chat history and it's I copy and paste below. Now they are charging me and said I will have to pay $20 per month for a line and $40 plus for two lines. Why the agent is offering me false plan then charging me for that payment that I didn't agree to?

nullnullAgent (07:45 pm): if you add 2 lines today, the unlimited plan will be free for you for 10 months, you will only pay tax for 8/month and after that  you will pay $40 + taxes for 2 unlimited lines

nullAgent (07:46 pm): so for 10 months for 2 unlimited lines you will pay $8/mo approx  or  it might be less

Agent (07:46 pm): $40 for 2 lines

Agent (07:46 pm): after 10 months

nullAgent (07:47 pm): Yes $40 for 2unlimited lines after 10 months

nullnullAgent (07:47 pm): 40+some taxes

nullAgent (07:48 pm): For 10months all you will pay $8/mo for2 lines and after that promo ends

Yep. I was approached while doing something completely unrelated about 3 lines for $60 and getting $20 off each of those lines for 10 months.

That isn't possible I am told by two other agents.

Wasted my time contacting family members and talking to all these agents.

I don't know if these agents undergo training or what.

This company is scamming people out of the [Edited: "Language"] left and right. "promos" got me too. " add an unlimited line to your wifi and itll be free for 12 months!" *proceeds to charge me $70 after the first month* And the support offered, makes it easier to take your losses and go somewhere else. sad.

Having exactly the same issue.

I was offered 1-year free mobile service but they are charging me $40.

I have contacted the Mobile team, Internet Team, and 24/7 chat agents, but nobody was able to fix that problem.

You can send your report to the national CS team of Xfinity via DM, because I did it.

But I am still waiting for them to reach out to me... more than a week.

Fingers crossed for you, so that you won't be ghosted by them like me...
