I need to have my social security number corrected at Xfinity

My social security number (ssn) is apparently wrong in Xfinity's system - an issue that came to light following my account being hacked.  Because my ssn is not recognized, I cannot approve changes to my account that require that I type in my ssn.  I have spent many many hours talking with Xfinity's Security, Loyalty, Fraud and Billing departments.  At their direction, I have visited two Xfinity stores: one a local franchise and one a more distant corporate store (this store was able to fix a more urgent issue but could not fix my ssn).  Despite presenting valid identification at that store, I was told to call the Security Team (which I have done several times, now).  Yesterday, an agent in the Security Team told me to call the Social Security Administration, explain my issue and that they would send something to Xfinity.  As ridiculous as that sounds, I did so.  Of course, I was told that they do not do such a thing.  Today, after reporting this to the Security team, I was, again, told to go to a store.  I asked which store could fix this (since two have not been able to) and they could only provide the same list that I would get from googling with no indication as to which might be corporate stores (which seem to have more capabilities).  Since it's impossible to call a store, I guess I am supposed to drive hundreds of miles to stores that probably have no way to help me.

Someone at Xfinity must know how this can be fixed.  Please let me know how, who to contact, where to go, etc.

I know this issue relates to my mobile account but don't know whether it relates to my residential account.  (Don't know if there are separate ssn's for each account or one central file.)

Thank you.

user_krb9jc I want to start by sincerely thanking you for reaching out to us on the Xfinity Community Forums. I am so sorry to hear about the incredible amount of trouble you've gone through. Dealing with an account hack is stressful enough, but being unable to get this key issue addressed after so many hours and visits is completely unacceptable.

We can certainly look into this for you. Our Social Media team is here to help, and for your safety, we want to assure you that we will never ask you to share your Social Security number (SSN) or any other sensitive personal information on any social media platform.

To begin the process of reviewing your account, please send us a direct message with your full name and service address. This will allow me to securely access your account details and investigate the situation with your SSN.
