how to cancel an Assurant claim

We have 4 phones on a shared data plan, all phones are now fully paid for and eligible for upgrade. Recently, my Daughter cracked her screen so I started a claim, I did not complete the claim process as we talked it out and decided instead as it is an old phone to save the $40 fee and just upgrade to a new one. Tried the upgrade option on the Xfinity mobile site but when trying to add to cart I keep getting a 'Sorry, looks like we are having technical difficulties' message.

I spoke with a real person in chat who told me as a claim had been entered through Assurant (it wasn't, I started a claim and part way through saved the progress, but did not submit anything) he could order a phone and asked me which one, I told him, we added the extra insurance plan and then he informed me that the "data plan would be $20", I informed him that we already pay for a shared data plan for 4 phones, he told me he could not do it that way and I hung up the chat.

Sick and tired on being ripped off by extra Xfinity charges.

Can someone just tell me how I can contract Assurant to cancel a claim I have not made?

Thanks.

Thanks for posting on our community forums for assistance, @tonyncher. I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience. Have you tried the Assurant's website? You can also call (855) 884-9771 and an Assurant Care Specialist will work with you.
