How do I find the phone number a text message I sent?

Hello,  I have a Samsung Galaxy S7.     I sent a text message to someone and now I am trying to look up the phone number the message was sent to.   This wasn't one of my contacts.   I just clicked on compose and entered the phone # and the name of the person I was sending it to, typed my message and hit sent.    But now, whenever I look up the message, all it shows in the name and the message.  It doesn't show the phone number the message was sent to.    How do I get that info to appear?  Thanks in advance.
