global travel pass

Hello Xfinity,

We visited the Xfinity store to find out about the global travel pass, and we were told that the only way it would be activated is if we call or text when not on Wi-fi and it will de-activated after 24 hours.  We only texted or called when on wifi. I used Global Pass 2 times and John used it 3 times during Jan and Feb and early March. To our shock we found out that global pass over-rides wifi and activates itself and then charged John for 50 passes ($500) and I for 45 passes (i.e. $450).

This is fraud! And we request a refund of $900. This is completely unacceptable. And it is interesting that since we disconnected from Global Pass on March 10, texts etc are being charged at a much lower rate. Again, this is FRAUD!!! How do we get you to listen!!?? We tried through the chat, got a ticket, and it was denied within seconds. And no ticket can be found on our account. Again, delay, deny, and waste our time.

Thank you for reaching out to us here @user_ixz83s. I will be happy to look into that issue with the Global pass from here for you. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?

To send a direct message [private message]:

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it

Did you get text messages indicating that a GTP was initiated for each day you were charged for a GTP? Check each phone as well as the billing details for each line.

Was WiFi Calling showing on your phones when you made calls or sent SMS?

Bottom line is that if they didn’t send you an SMS text message you should not be charged a GTP!

Only once did I get a text message that GTP was initiated. The other 44 times, I discovered it when I saw the bill. And yes, wifi calling was showing on my phone. Happily they are looking into it. Fingers crossed!
