Global travel pass charged $150 without using it
We recently travelled out to US. Before we leave, we made sure to turn off the data and eSIM.
However, upon returning, I was shocked to find a $150 charge and there are 15 global pass. When I checked the usage details, I saw that every day always show data usage of 0.01MB,triggering a $10 daily charge.
I contacted Xfinity Mobile support and they said they've opened a case to address this. But after a few weeks, there are still no updates.
This is completely unacceptable. I think user shouldn't pay things they never use, right? Can Xfinity respond and resolve this?

I have the same problem and have been trying to get it resolved for months. Keep pointing out to them that you received NONE OF THE NORMAL TEXT NOTIFICATIONS about GTP. Something is wrong at their end.

This happened to me too on a trip to Iceland last February. I turned cellular off on my iPhone as the hotels all had wifi for texting and surfing the web. I didn’t make any calls. I didn’t use any data. I also didn’t get a text from Xfinity alerting me that GTP was active. I thought I was OK, but I got charged! Thankfully, I was only gone for 10 days. Later, I realized that while my cellular data was off, I failed to put my phone on AIRPLANE MODE. We were in Europe a month ago, my phone was on airplane mode the entire 35 days. I didn’t need data and was able to rely solely on the hotel wifi to surf and text. No charges. Lesson learned. Turn on AIRPLANE MODE if you won’t be using data to avoid roaming charges.
