expired gift card and weird online chat with xfinity mobile representative

Hello, so wow I am very unhappy right now with you guys. I went to the xfinity mobile side and brought up a chat bubble with an agent about my expired gift card. Was then given a number, I really wish I had saved their name now, and when It connected me to a "live agent" which immediately tried to get me to agree to a life alert device, asking before that if I was over 50, which I said no to and then disconnected me to an automated person which then tried to get me to agree to hear other savings without an option to go anywhere else, felt extremely scammy and kinda predatory :( , has anyone else had this experience?

Very weird, and now I'm afraid to use yalls chatting service again. Is there anyway I can get help to just get another card with an extended exp date and I will use it within a week I know better now :(

Hello, @user_370f3d! Thank you for creating a post about your gift card concern. I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty you had in reaching someone. Were you able to access more information via the Incentive Tracker as mentioned by @DaveO3?

@XfinitySara​ Well yes and no. I called the number before this post originally and they were unable to find my gift card, after reaching back out via online chat, I was told that sense the gift card is expired that there is nothing yall can do, can I double confirm this with you? That once a gift card is in fact expired, even if there is some amount on there, I am in no way able to get access to those expired funds?

@user_370f3d Oh wow thanks for following up! Indeed, they do and it's important to take advantage of them asap. I just found in double checking for you that Prepaid cards expire 180 days from the date they are issued. There will be an expiration date printed on your card. That's surprising to me as well in finding out, but I am glad we got to the bottom of what happened at least.

Call the number on the incentive tracker and try to get an agent.

@DaveO3​ Thank you for the information, unfortunately, I did with no such luck, I tried the chatting service again and got someone who basically told me that since the card is expired there is nothing they can do. I learned my lesson I guess, make sure I used xfinity gift cards quickly, thank you again
