Dual SIM on iPhone 13 with different carriers
According to the https://www.xfinity.com/hub/mobile/how-to-switch-with-esim page:
A dual SIM device has two IMEIs that can support a Sim card (pSIM) or a digital SIM (eSIM). Most dual Sim devices support a pSIM on IMEI1 and an eSIM on IMEI2. iPhone 13 and the 3rd generation iPhone SE can support both pSIM on either IMEI.
A dual SIM device allows you to have two different cellular plans on your pSIM and eSIM, even from different carriers.
Yet, I have chatted, called, even visited an Xfinity store in person and no one can transfer my current pSIM on an iPhone SE to a new 13 on another carrier. Is Dual SIM supported or not? Does the phone have to be from Xfinity? Can it be CDMA? Are only some carriers able to support dual?
Where can I go to get my two physical phones down to a single with two numbers?

First of all both iPhones should be totally unlocked.
Next, you don’t say whether your iPhone 13 on the other carrier is activated with a SIM or eSIM, and I don’t know whether it is going to be easier to get your XM line added as a SIM or eSIM. XM will probably want to send you a new SIM, but you will probably be better off getting your XM line added as an eSIM which may be a just little more complicated.
So try this. Go into the mobile app and go to devices, select your device, then upgrade or switch devices, Bring your own, and try working from there, and see if there are any compatibility or other issues.
Bottom line I am pretty sure that you will need to CALL XM and explain that you want to Switch your line to another device and preferably have it added as an eSIM, and ask whether the customer support person can do this, or whether they need to transfer you to tier 2 support. Have them call back if they ask.
GOOD LUCK!
