Device and Activity Removal

My number and device were under an account that will remain active with other numbers. I have transferred my number to a new carrier. Will my device and activity be removed from the account so this information can no longer be viewed? Is this an automatic removal and how long does it take after the line is deactivated?

Thank you

Thanks for posting on our community forums, user_ram3zb. That's a great question. If the phone number has been ported to a different provider, the line on our end will be canceled automatically and removed from the account. Do they still have the device with them? Or did you transfer the device as well?

@XfinityDilary they still have the device and did not transfer the device because they got a new one with the new provider. How long does it take to remove all the activity information?

When you port a mobile number to a different carrier that mobile line is removed off of your billing for your mobile services as there is no phone number to attach to the device, I did the same thing,  me & my wife were on T-Mobile , I requested xfinity to port my number from T-Mobile to xfinity, once the port was complete, by her next billing cycle she could see my line was removed from her T-Mobile account, so to know when your phone number will port over to the your new provider, you need to reach out to that provider. You will notice that line removed from your xfinity account by your next billing cycle.

If you have any further questions about your mobile services or the billing or the porting process I highly recommend you reach out to our awesome Xfinity mobile agents via the Xfinity app just go to the mobile billing section and request to speak to a billing agent in the mobile team
