collections

Was with Comcast for nearly 18 years...almost since they began service in NY in 2005. After spending nearly $50,000 with them, last year I started to reduce my services. First to go was cable tv followed by mobile. Too many dropped calls and poor service. Migrated to T-mobile. Cleared up the bill with zero balance...2 months later they auto bill me which got paid, then quickly refunded when I objected. Then last November they sent the same bill to collections...Credit Collection Services (CCS) out of Norwood, MA. I won't go into all the hours I have spent trying to get this resolved but it's still with CCS. They always say the same thing...Comcast must inform them via email that my balance is zero. So back and forth we go, me talking to customer service in the Phillippines or S.Africa and then they either hang up on me, tell me I must resolve with CCS, and that there is nothing they can do except transfer me to CCS...tra la la. So basically, Comcast send a non existent bill to collections and have no interest in helping me get it straightened out. They just don't care and know that there are no repercussions. Meanwhile, CCS are telling me it will be reported to the credit agencies unless I promptly pay them...and they are even offering me a 20% off the sham $150 that's on the account.
