Charged for mobile service I never had
I used to have Xfinity Internet service. When I moved, I called to have it moved with me, but I could not get it to work at the new apartment and when Xfinity was supposed to come to my home and service it, they never showed up, so I cancelled it. About a month after I cancelled I was charged $42.91 for something called Xfinity mobile. I do not and never have had a number that used Xfinity mobile for phone service. When I called customer support about this, I was informed that I had a free mobile line with my internet service and when I cancelled the internet it was no longer free. I told them I never had a phone that used Xfinity mobile and the woman just acted confused and said she would cancel it. Now it’s a month later, and I just received another charge for $29.15 labeled Xfinity mobile. Again I called customer service and was told that this is the cancellation fee for Xfinity mobile. So I have now spent $70 on a phone line that I have never used once. This feels like a shady business practice and I don’t know how to even ensure that I will not be charged for anything next month. I intend to go by a physical location to discuss this with someone today, but I will not be using Xfinity for anything next month services in the future due to this situation.
