Changing Per Gig Data Plan
I have been getting conflicting information from various customer service representatives on this question, so I figure I would ask someone who might have tried this to let me know if this works.
I just ordered Xfinity Mobile for four phones.
I was thinking of starting with $15/GB data plan and then as we approach end of billing cycle, I would observe the total data usage, and change accordingly.
For example:
1. If we are close to 1GB limit, I would change to the $30/3GB rate.
2. If we have exceeded the 3GB limit and would probably hit 5GB of usage, I would change to the $60/10GB rate.
3. This would rare, but if all four lines are approaching 4GB of usage (each), I would convert all four lines to unlimited.
Has anyone followed this type of strategy and did you succeed in making these types of changes?

Thanks @Garedmud1 I think the excerpt you cut and paste only discusses about changing from per gig to unlimited data plan. My question has to do with changing between the various per gig data plans available.
But you pointed me in the right direction, as I found this statement by Xfinity Mobile:
https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/support/article/how-to-change-data-amount
Xfinity Mobile states that the only restriction is if you cannot move down to a lower cost per gig plan if you exceeded the 1gb or 3gb level of usage.
So it looks like my plan would work. My plan is to start off with $15/gb plan and then...

It did not quite work for me. I simply cannot understand why someone at in a 10 GB plan but used only 3.5 GB with 1 day left in billing cycle cannot switch to 3GB to save $18 (30 +12 instead of 60). Lost in battle to switch on Day 29 of cycle and just crossing 3GB.
