Can existing Xfinity Mobile customers buy a new phone NOT from Xfinity?

I have a very old Samsung S8 phone and was thinking about switching. Samsung.com has some great deals going on until the 14th.

However, it seems like you HAVE to buy a new phone through Xfinity if you are an existing Xfinity Mobile customer - is that true?

And if not: how would I activate the new phone? It would be an unlocked Samsung phone - can I just switch out the SIM card to the new phone or are there other steps that have to be taken? Thanks.

Those are some great questions! Yes existing customers can bring their own device when adding a new line! you would just go here to check the compatibility of the phone you are bringing over. https://comca.st/2SXLbU9 If you are looking to replace your existing phone with one purchased from somewhere else you can move your SIM to the new phone but we cannot guarantee all features will work. The only way to ensure that is to purchase the phone directly through us.
