Bring unlocked ipad to Xfinity Mobile?

I've got an unlocked ipad mini 4 that I've been using on T-Mobile. How can I bring it to Xfinity Mobile? I assume I need a new SIM card, but can't find a way to order one. All the "check compatability" functionality on the webpage is phone-specific. It asks what kind of phone I have and the IMEI. But its a tablet. I tried telling it I had an iPhone and then put in my ipad's IMEI but got told it was incompatible. Since it works fine on T-Mobile's LTE network I can't imagine its not compatible. Can anyone help?

Ok, nevermind. I found a statement in an Xfinity Mobile FAQ dated December 2021 that says at this time you cannot bring your own iPad. A pity. I had hoped to bring 3 lines plus the iPad from T-Mobile but if the iPad is a no-go, then I can't bring the lines over either. It's all or nothing and I guess for now its nothing.

For the record, here's the statement:

Can I bring my own device?

Yes, you can bring your own device to Xfinity Mobile. Check your phone's compatibility and order a SIM card, all for free. At this time you cannot bring your own iPad.

and here's the link to the FAQ

Same issue here. I have 5 lines with Xfinity and want to add an iPad. If not possible, I would have to go to another carrier.

What year is Xfinity operating in?!? Why would they not accept an unlocked iPad when all is needed is a sim card? Unbelievable.

Dear Xfinity, I also would like to give you more money by accepting an unlocked ipad air I just purchased. I have been with you for years (except for my Ipad, which has been sitting at T-mobile for 5 years)
