Blantanly lying to me on the phone
I have two ongoing issues for which I am being overbilled. First, I got my daughters phone for her birthday in August and was supposed to receive a trade in credit of $500. I have yet to see any of that come through, and it's about to be January. The second issue is that when we moved in October we transferred our internet, TV, and mobile over to the new address but when my mobile bill came I was being charged an extra $100 a month as though I was not an internet customer.
I first called in November and the agent told me I shouldn't get the trade in credit it because I did not mail the phone back in in time (not at all true). She then said they will give it to me anyway as well as fix the standalone billing issue and I would receive a confirmation email. This was after I had to be verified as an authorized account user by my wife, even though I had already been added online as an authorized account user. Games. After Christmas I had received nothing - no email, not one cent of credit, no billing changes made.
Today I called again. After I refused to get off of the call until I could get something in writing they credited my account $250. And then they transferrred me to someone who couldn't help me on the internet side, who then transferred me back to someone in mobile billing. After already speaking to two separate people for about 45 or so minutes about account, the third person told me that I am not an authorized user so she can't speak to me about the account. After arguing for another 5 minutes and refusing to hang up, she told me I can go on the app and add myself as an authorized user. So I tried. There was literally no place in the app or browser to do this so we started over. My wife was not available to verify the account again, so we just hung out on the call until she hung up on me after a half hour.
I will be posting the xfinity BBB link on my facebook as a true to life reflection of my experience with Xfinity and to provide more recent feedback to those online friends of mine who had previously heard great things about them from me.
