Being lied to by store employees

First of all, we’ve had great service for the last year of Xfinity WiFi at our home and Xfinity mobile for just one $10/monthly line. Which is the reason we chose to come to the Xfinity Store back in August as my wife needed a new phone. The first salesman we dealt with that day promised us after we paid and signed all necessary documents, that we would be receiving a $200 gift card to our email within 7-10 business days. Which here we’re, almost the middle of October, and still no gift card to our email! Which I also spoke to a customer service representative when I called into Xfinity a few weeks later and he also told me we were going to receive our gift card to our email soon but obviously that never happened! The next time after a couple weeks with the new service, we went back into the store as our service wasn’t as fast and efficient as we hoped. The second salesman proceeded to explain to us that we could upgrade our plan to Premium Unlimited for only $10/monthly per the three lines.

Now today I look at our bill and see it’s jumped at least $80 of what we were told it should start being each month. We called customer service again and speak to a lady who took almost one hour with me to figure out what exactly was going on. She then discovers that the Premium Unlimited charges are NOT just $30/monthly per all three lines, it’s in fact $50/monthly for the first line and $30/monthly for the remaining two lines, which is a total of $110/monthly. That’s a big jump from him telling us it’s only $10/monthly per the three lines. So she was very helpful to fix that, it’s still a higher bill than we ever expected, but this is getting so frustrating, it is what it is! I then asked the customer service representative about our missing gift card we never received. She tells me that she doesn’t understand why the store representative EVER told us we were getting the $200 gift card, when that was a promotion that ended last year!! I’m completely and utterly blown away!! Why would you lie to innocent customers that already signed up for mobile services?! It’s not like the store representative offered the gift card to encourage us to get mobile lines from the beginning, he didn’t mention the gift card until near the end, so he already had gotten the sale for goodness sake! So this definitely makes us upset as customers being lied to about the lines upgrade charges and by two employees, one in store, one in customer service, that we will be receiving a gift card that’s never coming!
