Free Peacock Premium Doesn't Work

Everytime I hit "Activate" on the Xfinity app to reap my Diamond member benefit of free premium Peacock service, it doesn't work. All the forums have useless troubleshooting information. So, like most times, I figured it all out myself. Here is what to do if you face the same issue:

1. In your current Peacock account, unlink your email and route it to a throw away email.

2. Sign out of Peacock

3. Go to Xfinity app and hit "Activate" for the Peacock benefit.

4. Enter the email you unlinked and it should act like you are creating an account for the first time.

5. Click "Activate" after it makes you type your name, zip code, and few other typical account creation fields.

6. In Peacock, check account settings to make sure premium subscription kicked in.

There, I saved so many people pointless hours of labor in calls when all they want to do is watch something.
