Can't open DirecTV, Paramount+, Fox Nation apps and won't connect to Samsung TV
I can no longer open certain apps on my fire box or TV itself, or even on my phone while using my home Internet. One of my TVs no longer connects at all to the Internet. I can hot spot my cell with Verizon and all applications work fine. They worked fine up until 3 weeks ago and now nothing opens. I tried working with support over chat but he told me it's a speed issue (it's not, that's just their go to response) and tried to get me to upgrade. I already have 600 mbps which is more than enough to stream. I've streamed with 5-10 mbps when I was overseas with this same equipment without issues. Support chat was no help.

I just tried to sign up to watch TV via Directv Stream. At present, I watch TV via Comcast, which provides the internet service, which I use for my computers (like the computer I am now using to write this comment). I also have Comcast "cable TV service". Most everything I watch on via Comcast "cable TV service" is available via Directv Stream, and the cost is significantly less.
But I ran into a problem when trying to load the app for Directv Stream onto my Samsung Smart TV. Although I was able to load the app onto the TV's home screen, and I was able to click on the app and open it, I could not move to the app's s sign-in web page. The screen would not move beyond a Welcome page that preceded the sign-in page. I called Directv tech support. The tech person was unable to help me proceed to the sign-in page. When I clicked on the Next button to move to the sign-in page, nothing happened.
My remote was working fine. I did everthing but open the Directv Sign-in page. She told me that Samsung Smart TVs should support the Directv app. In this case, apparently, that is not true.
Apparently, I cannot use the Samsung TV's home screen to run the Directv app.
I wonder why. What, actually, does the "cable TV service" available via Comcast refer to? Doesn't everything come into the home via internet service at the present time?
