Xfinity not allowing RCS messages

I am not getting group messages with android users. I have spent multiple hours with xfinity troubleshooting this. It worked perfectly fine when I used Verizon last month. The problem is with Xfinity. If this is not resolved by the end of the weekend I’m going back to Verizon

user_nzxixk I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and we'd like to help. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

Made sure my settings on my phone were correct, restarted multiple times, redownload an eSIM, received a physical sim and redid all the troubleshooting again. Other settings were adjusted on xfinity side. Still not working.

Thank you, for Android users Once Google has made RCS available for Xfinity Mobile, customers will begin receiving upgrade requests for Messages. Customers must accept the upgrade request and install the upgrade. Customers who don’t want to wait for the update can get it by going to the Google Play Store and updating their Messages client.   To enable RCS on Android, users must:

  • Have Android 5.0 or higher.
  • Update Google Play Services to the latest version .
  • Update the Carrier Services app to the latest version.
