Xfinity Mobile satellite-based texting services

In March 2025 Xfinity Mobile announced satellite-based texting services for compatible Samsung Galaxy S25 and Google Pixel 9 devices.  The announcement stated currently limited to emergency messages with plans to expand this to include regular SMS texts to anyone over satellite in the coming weeks.

What is the status of satellite SMS text to anyone?

Is there are any additional details on when regular SMS texts to anyone over satellite will be available?

The announcement stated compatible Samsung Galaxy S25, I assume it means the S25 family of phones and a S25 Plus is supported, is this correct?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

@niteskies They made an announcement. But doesn't appear that anything has come out of this yet. Remember, this is a very limited in scope service. Your phone would need to be in an area with NO coverage and display emergency calls only for this to work.

Understood Satellite texting is for areas with no coverage.

Living in Colorado, I'm often in remote locations with no Cell tower or Wifi coverage.

When in these no coverage locations the ability to send my wife a simple text message would be invaluable.

We are both Xfinity mobile customers and thus my questions, when will Xfinity Satellite texting allow SMS text to anyone?

Thanks,
