Xfinity email access on iphone 14Plus

I have a brand new iPhone 14Plus. I have tried to access the email via Safari (which is how I  accessed it yesterday with my previous iPhone). It didn't connect and displayed an error message "Connection timed out. Please try reloading the page" I then tried to access it via the mail app. I added as per the instructions on many forums. When I pushed "save" it changed to "verifying", but then displayed "Comcast is currently unavailable". This has now gone on for 2 days. I know Xfinity is available as I can access it on my iPad and my laptop."

@user_828yj6 The only option to access your email is via a web browser at; https://connect.xfinity.com/

The Xfinity email app was discontinued and no longer works. If you are still having trouble, try a different web browser, or clear the settings in Safari;

  1. Go to Settings > Safari.

  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.

@DreamSayerZ Thank you for the response. I'll try those solutions again and see if it works this time.
Just to clarify, after I attempted to connect via a browser (and that gave me the error message), I tried to connect using the iPhone email app, which is how I have two other Apple devices connected and working. I wasn't trying to use the discontinued Xfinity email app.

@user_828yj6 I would double check the settings in the mail app to make sure they are set correctly. This support doc has the instructions; https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email

@user_828yj6 FYI; I read 2 other posts in this forum about issues with email apps. Seems to be an issue with their servers. No responses from any official Xfinity employees yet regarding this issue.
