When requesting to port your service or change your sim, is there any ID necessary?

An account with my personal info was hacked recently. Just to cover all bases, when someone requests to port my service or change my sim through support, is any ID necessary (like SSIN, address, birthdate, etc)? Let me know if I used the wrong terms or if I'm on the wrong service :-)

Tranpete8031 To authenticate your account, different steps depend on whether your account is fully verified. Our team here on social media would never ask you to provide your SSN, date of birth, or banking information. I would be happy to review your account history with you. To get started, please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address.

To send a "Direct Message" message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
