Traveling Abroad, Phone Stolen and Charged an Absorbant Amount for Data Not Used
I am at a lost on what to do. I have contacted xfinity support multiple times trying to get this resolved. I was unknowingly charged almost $1700 on international data that was not used! I went to travel abroad and I do not have the global services on my account, so I turn off everything that uses cellular service. During my time on my travels abroad, I got my phone stolen and had very limited access to internet. It wasn't until I got home I received a bunch of emails saying I had been charged for international usage. I tried multiple times to contact support that it was not me using international data and every time they reassured me they would get someone to take a look at it and revert the charges and NO ONE has! I also called my credit card company state my case and to dispute the charge and they successfully did, but XFINITY KEEPS RECHARGING ME! I had to close my Xfinity account as I no longer am satisfied with Xfinity's service and support after this issue. I am still being asked to pay the charges along with a late fee now because of my claim with my credit card company went through. I came across this forum in hopes to still get this resolved somehow. I feel VERY wronged about this, and after everything that has happened, I need answers, and SOMEONE from Xfinity to resolve this.

Thanks for reaching out to us. As a customer myself I would not be happy if my phone got stolen and someone used it while overseas and racked up a bunch of charges for data roaming international charges.
When a situation like this happens, as a customer we do need to reach out to our phone carrier right away and report the phone is lost or stolen so they can turn off the phones so that no one can use it fraudulently.
Go ahead and send me a direct message and we can get this resolved for you.
