The worst Customer Service
In 2021 I switched to Xfinity from Verizon. I had an iPhone 16. which was new at the time. I ordered the phone and internet package. I was told for signing up with new service you get a free phone on us.
I said I didn't need it but sure I'll take it. I ended up giving the phone to my nephew who said the device was locked,. After calling xfinity support I was told that phone came with a 2 year contract.
I said no this was not explained to me. I wouldn't have accepted it since I already had a phone that was better than the phone they offered. After arguing with the customer service rep for over an hour they agreed to take the phone back and cancel the 2 year term commitment. The second I ended the call the service on my iPhone 13 was shut off. I had to communicate with xfinity through chat. Which They could not understand the issue. And kept telling me I didn't have an iPhone 13 that it was an iPhone 8. Even after giving them the imie number. It took 8 chat reps and 13 customer service calls( From my friends phone) to get this resolved. And after the service was cut back on it dropped my phone number that I had for over 5 years. I had to wait 6 days to get it back.
Fast forward to 12/6/2024 I ordered a google pixel 9 and was told I could try it out for 2 weeks.(It was delivered to an old address and left in the rain). Before the two weeks up I decided I did not like the phone and wanted to return it. I took the sim back out of the pixel 9 and put it back in my iPhone 13 and had an xfinity rep on the phone making sure this was done right. They assigned another number to my account and assured me it was temporary. I retuned the pixel 9 and resumed using the iPhone 13. Everything worked right up to the day I received an email from xfinity stating they received the pixel 9. At that very moment the service on my iPhone 13 was shut off. I spent two hours on the phone with the first rep who could not figure out the problem at which time he hung up on me. So I called back and asked for a supervisor. That rep stated he could fix the issue. Had me on the phone for an hour and asked for my social security number multiple times. And could not explain why he needed it. Xfinity has without a doubt the worst customer service i have ever seen. I'll never recommend this company to anyone. it's now 1/8/2025 and still this issue is not resolved. Service is still not activated. But xfinity has their hand out wanting a payment.
