Terrible

My husband and I recently activated two iPhones 16e. Nothing went right. My email didn’t sync and download. I had to delete the account on the phone and then recreate it. My husband’s phone didn’t sync his messages. He had to run a search and find iMessages in the Cloud and run a sync from there. There needs to be a clear and exact way to activate the phones to eliminate most of the aggravation involved in this. I must have spoken to at least ten people yesterday who have activated phones before. Whether they used an Android phone or an iPhone each person said it is frustrating and time consuming to activate a phone whether you are just getting a new smart from the same carrier or switching. I haven’t used Verizon for years but I know going into an xfinity store they are big on selling you products but it’s more or less self service when it comes to setting up a smart phone or installing some other type of equipment unless you want to pay a large amount of money.  My initial post was done when I was very frustrated and angry so I am now reposting it.  So this is now feedback based on reflection a day later. I spent hours Saturday working on my iPhone and hours Sunday working on my husband’s phone. Both iPhones are working as they should. Before activating the phones I watched so many You Tube videos that showed do this and that and the phone will be working in less than 30 minutes. Didn’t happen that way. I called for Mobile support and Saturday and got a great tech who helped me solve the problem with my phone. But, calling on Sunday wasn’t working out at all. I called for technical support twice for a mobile devices and was hung up on each time. That was the most frustrating thing to deal with. Was no one working in the Xfinity world of technical support on Mother’s Day? Why did you hire all those people from around the world that we cannot understand and who exhibit no patience whatsoever? To whatever tech reads this, please pass this feedback on to the appropriate person.
