Temporary unlock while traveling abroad

Why doesn’t Xfinity allow temporary device unlocks for international travel like T-Mobile and AT&T do? With the network lock in place, I can’t use a local SIM card for data abroad, which would avoid the high costs of a global plan. What are my options?

user_qpzt2b Our Global Travel Pass sounds like it would be the best option for you! Here is a link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/global-travel-pass to where you can get more information about that.

@XfinityShawn

Seriously? You think the Global Travel Pass is really the best option? I’m actively traveling, and 512MB of data doesn’t last a day when I’m on the go constantly. Plus, $10 a day for 45 days adds up fast. I’m getting a local prepaid SIM in each country with 2GB of data per day for just $1.30 a day.

user_qpzt2b That's Xfinity Mobiles option when traveling internationally. Here is another great link https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/my-account/international where you can select where you're going, and see the rates for that area.
