Public Hotspot Stopped Working

Hello. I’ve been connecting to a public Xfinity hotspot for a few years now and the hotspot finder shows that it is still active but it stopped working last week. My devices can see the hotspot also but when I try to connect it says “no internet.” Yes, I’ve forgotten the network multiple times on all devices and that has not resolved the issue. I am also able to connect to other Xfinity hotspots without issue, so it is this particular hotspot. Is there a way to get Xfinity to check on the public hotspots?

@user_64fi0m Thanks for reaching out to our team for support with your Hotspot concerns.

Thanks for letting us know you have other Hotspots to connection to during this time.

Do you have internet service and a modem at your home location?

Yes of course. This has nothing to do with my home internet. All of my devices connect to multiple hotspots around my area except now this one hotspot randomly stopped working last week (yes, on all my devices). It’s broadcasting a signal but there is no internet connection. Xfinity chat agents assured me they would have it fixed “within hours” which is a joke since they didn’t even know which hotspot I was trying to access. Does Xfinity not monitor these?

@user_64fi0m Thanks for letting me know your home is not affected and you have a working connection.  There can be a few causes affecting the connection such as distance and the signal could now be  hindered by buildings or trees.

How many signal bars are present for you? To increase the connection strength are you able to move closer to test the distance?

Where is the Hotspot? Is it a park, office building etc?

I am happy to check that hotspot with you.
