PHONE TRADE IN SCAM!!

Hello everyone,

Back in September, I visited the Xfinity store in King of Prussia to set up Wi-Fi for my apartment. During my visit, a representative named Nia persistently tried to sell me a phone line promotion, offering $850 credit for trading in my iPhone 12 Pro if I switched to Xfinity. Despite repeatedly declining, she continued to push the offer. When I returned to pick up my equipment, she convinced me and two of my friends—who are all students—to trade in our phones, promising $850 for the iPhone 12 Pro and $1,000 for the iPhone 14 Pro. Both Nia and the store manager inspected the devices and confirmed they were eligible for the stated trade-in value.

However, weeks passed, and the promised trade-in credit never appeared. When I returned to the store to address the issue, I was told there had been a mistake. Despite multiple attempts to resolve it—including calls and tickets opened by the staff—nothing was resolved, and every ticket was closed without a solution. This happened three or four times, leaving me stuck paying full price for a phone and line I never wanted in the first place.

As students, this situation has placed an unnecessary financial burden on us, and Xfinity's customer service has been appalling. They failed to honor their promises, and their staff at the King of Prussia location, including the manager, provided no meaningful assistance, only repeating the same unhelpful explanations.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Other providers at least stand by their commitments. [Edited: "Solicitation"].

[Edited: "Solicitation"]. THIS IS COMPANY IS [Edited: "Language"] HOUSE AND NO ONE IN THEIR STORE ACTUALLY KNOWS [Edited: "Language"]. [Edited: "Inflammatory"]. [Edited: "Solicitation"] and their offers are actual SCAM.

Thanks for reaching out to us as a customer myself I would not be happy if I was promised a certain amount of credit for a trade in on my iPhone. The final determination on the trade in value comes after the phones been inspected by the Assurant team. Did you get any notification or an e-mail on what their result inspections were for your trade in phone, or to see why the final assessment was on the phones you traded in?
