New Xfinity Mobile User - Terrible Customer Service and phone service

I ported my iPhone number from TMobile to Xfinity Mobile on June 23, and ever since I am unable to text Android users. I can voice call them but I cannot MMS text to them. Android users can send me texts to my phone, but I cannot send Android users texts!  I have been in contact with Customer Service almost every week since, if not daily, and am told the problem is fixed but it never is. Today I was on the phone and in live chat as well, for FIVE HOURS and went through as many CSRs all with different names. I told them they hadn't provisioned my account for MMS messaging, otherwise why can I not text to Android users on my iPhone? We did various troubleshooting, resetting Network Settings (twice), checking my iPhone settings. MMS messaging had disappeared but I reset ALL of my phone's setting so that I could get that back which I did, but I still cannot send MMS texts to Android users!

No one can tell me why this is happening, nor fix it??? I'm about ready to cancel and refuse payment, and return to TMobile, but I thought I would try posting here to get competent help of which I have none, to date!

UPDATE: My final comment to another user in the customer service section, also serving as my end to this debacle of getting no worthwhile customer service resolution of issues, and being forced to leave Xfinity after 11 years of internet service.

I am having your experience as to the poor customer service in relation to non-functional mobile for one month after I ported my number from T-Mobile to Xfinity, as a longtime legacy internet customer of 11 years.  When I kept voice calling or using the live chat agent for support, I kept being told things were fixed: the mobile service, and then additional charges I was billed that strangely seemed to occur after I was complaining about having to constantly contact Xfinity and get told things were fixed when they had never been. Except that after one month, (!) they were FINALLY able to get my texting to Android users fixed (I'm an iPhone user). BUT somehow I ended up being billed for an internet speed upgrade I never asked for (it turned out one of the agents told me, "OH that was GIVEN to you, free of charge, as a goodwill gesture for such a good customer. Don't worry, that will be credited!" Famous last words, aka LIES). I was also told I somehow ended up with a Latino NOW TV subscription for an additional $15, which is also crazy since I'm an old white lady on a fixed income and don't speak Spanish, "because it came with the 500 Mbps upgrade".

How this all started: As a legacy customer, all I needed was the 150 Mbps I already had, but Xfinity told me I could no longer have that, and as a legacy customer, I also could not get a promotion, so FIRST I had to upgrade from legacy to whatever this new fresh hell was to be:  300 Mbps at $55/mo (nothing cheaper), but ONLY if I bundled it with mobile, free for one year effective the day I ported my number from TMobile on June 23, 2026. I would much rather have had Internet Essentials, since I don't stream much and only need to read email, text, and do online ordering, the usual grandma stuff lol, but you can't get it if you are already an Xfinity customer, legacy or not. Long story short, you can see my other posts about this under my username here. I never got credits promised for charges I did not give approval for nor ask for, and I never got any goodwill credit for being without working mobile from June 23 to July 23, "because it's FREE".  I think I have been on the phone or online with Xfinity trying to resolve the issues since June 23, and now it's August 5th. By way of denying the promised $49.18 credit by another Xfinity CSR on Monday this week (August 3), they told me I never paid in June. But I've been on autopay for going on 5 years now, so did they not take it? Or are they lying after giving me credits in June as to why they took no payment? I know they are lying; let's put it that way. They proceeded to bill me in July as usual for the $55/mo with no extra charges added (yet) and took it since I'm on autopay! Now for this month of August, on the 10th of the month, I supposedly owe $119.18 and not the agreed-upon $55/mo.

It's tiresome, and I'm not going to fight them anymore. I took my account off autopay. I will pay the $55/mo, while I go back to T-Mobile and do a bundle they had offered me for only $6 more, BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO KEEP ME, unlike Xfinity. Kicking myself, I didn't take it, but I had no idea how much Xfinity customer service had changed, and I'm on a budget, so I took the offer of $55/mo. I wouldn't advise ANYONE to use Xfinity. Their internet is the best, but is it worth it for what you pay in billing issues and NO COMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE? [Edited: "Language"] NO. I feel like I'll pay with my life if I stay with the lousy, lying customer support that doesn't care about keeping your loyalty, never resolving issues, and then LYING about it repeatedly. This is the first time in 11 years with Xfinity that anything like this has happened, and it will be the last.

@XfinityVictor Yes!  I am having issues with my entire bundle of internet/Xfinity Mobile ever since It began! I ported my number to Xfinity from T-Mobile on Jun 23, 2026 and went a FULL MONTH without functional mobile service. Not only that, I'm being overcharged what I gave my approval for and was given services I did not ask for or approve despite asking for credits and corrections that NEVER happened despite being assured that this would be fixed!  I have all chat transcripts but now that I am able FINALLY to text Android users, yesterday, June 22, I received the email notification for my autopay bill for Aug 11, and it is still NOT reflecting the correct monthly bill. I was told that due to the issues ever since porting my number, that my internet speed was upgraded from 300mbps to 500mbps for the next year at no additional charge, and that my TOTAL monthly bill was to be $55/month with NO additional fees, taxes, surcharges, nothing, for both internet and Xfinity Mobile as a new mobile customer (I'm a legacy Diamond internet customer). HOWEVER: After paying $55/mo the first month bill for Jul 11, my Aug 11 bill is $119.18!  I had to speak with a live chat agent AGAIN after spending 8 HOURS (3 additional hours added later that evening with Xfinity voice call.) on Monday Jul 20!!!! This agent told me it would be fixed, and I would receive email confirmation in 7-8 days. This is NOT satisfactory for my time and efforts trying to fix constant Xfinity agent errors that are NOT fixing my issues. In July I had to ask for an $8 credit to get my bill down to the promised $55 before autopay on Jul 11. Now I am not trusting yesterday's live chat assurances. On Jun 23, I was told that my monthly bill (in accepting the bundle of Internet and Xfinity Mobile for one year) would be $55/mo for internet including one free year of Xfinity Mobile. I have been asked for years to bundle my internet with Xfinity Mobile as a legacy customer and did not want to change from T-Mobile until what seemed like the good offer I received on Jun 23. And nothing has gone right ever since!  I should be able to relax and feel confident that my monthly billing statement email from Xfinity will be $55 EVERY MONTH. Further, I didn't ask for 500mpbs upgrade from 300mpbs. Several live chat agents told me Xfinity gave that to me as a good will gesture at no additional charge for this one year plan, due to all the issues and time/effort spent on voice calls and live chat with Xfinity with nothing ever resolved. I was also given some Latino something service at additional cost which I NEVER ASKED FOR and NEVER APPROVED!  I am not Latino. It's insane. Worst experience altogether that I have ever had from Xfinity, all as a result of this Jun 23 plan change for the new Xfinity Mobile bundle plan with internet. I need someone to be competent and to do a better job. A supervisor or the Loyalty Team needs to contact me about this, please. I need my life back because it should not be revolving around my having to contact Xfinity daily to weekly, to fix things that are errors on Xfinity's end. UPDATE: Not only this, I told yesterday's live chat agent that I should receive a free month of internet and a credit of $55 for August to pay August's bill in full due to my not having working Xfinity Mobile service from June 23 to July 23, ONE FULL MONTH of no functional mobile service plus my wasted time and efforts for the full month with no resolution from Xfinity... and this person said they had no ability to help me further. Xfinity Mobile cannot receive a credit, being that it's free for one year, as to why I say to credit my current Xfinity internet bill $55 as good will credit.

My billing is still not fixed! Autopay is still showing $119.18 for my August internet bill after receiving a new billing statement at $0.00 which it turns out is only for the mobile which is free for one year!  Why is this not fixed? Autopay will debit me on August 11! My monthly internet payment is supposed to be $55/mo for internet, and for August I was supposed to be credited in full because of having no mobile service for one full month from June 23-July 23, as to the issues I have already posted about and asked for resolution for! Yet when I sign into my Xfinity account today,  it STILL is billing me for $119.18 on August 11! Please fix this!!!!  My Internet account billing needs to be credited in the amount of $119.18. Originally it should have been $55  so that $119.18 figure is not correct, but it needs to be refunded in full for the month of August for a total payment due of $0.00 for BOTH internet and mobile, due to my not having mobile service for one full month... which was already FREE because it's free for one year as part of my new Internet/Mobile bundle effective June 23, 2026. Can someone please HELP?!

@XfinityRoberto Please see my latest replies. I have received no correction to my autopay bill due on Aug 11/12. I have received no response from Xfinity Support. No one is there, and I copy-pasted my forum post for whomever to see, but again... no one is there responding to my direct message. I still need support. I still need my billing statement to be corrected, and I still need a live agent to speak with me about this matter for resolution. I should receive a correction to my August bill for erroneous overcharges from what is the agreed-upon monthly internet/mobile bundle amount of $55/mo.  I should also receive a full credit of August's bill  via autopay on Aug 11, for the fact that I had NO functionality of working mobile service from June 23, my service start date, to July 23. Since the mobile bill is $0.00/mo for one year, I need my internet bill for August (I already paid $55/mo in July 2026 for it) to be $0.00 as gesture of goodwill for all I have been put through due to ongoing incompetence on the part of Xfinity, since June 23, 2026.

Here is a cut and paste to show you what my bill says:

  • We've applied a partial charge of $49.18 as a result of 300 MBPS, 500 MBPS and NOW TV Latino change(s) made to your account on Jun 23 and Jul 15.

Live chat told me that they changed my speed to 500mpbs from 300mpbs, and added this NOW TV Latino to my internet bill! I need the $49.18 credited to my account and my speed reduced back to 300mbps, and the NOW TV Latino to be taken off of my plan!  I DID NOT authorize these two things! I was told Xfinity was giving me increase in speed at no additional charge. The NOW TV Latino, I have NO idea what that's about.  I am going to try to get the Loyalty Department tomorrow as a last ditch effort for someone to fix this finally. But I think at this point if no one can help me with this terrible customer service and being overcharged from what I agreed to ($55/mo for both Internet and Mobile) I am going to get my internet and my mobile service from TMobile where I can speak with a live human being. I was disconnected by a live person via the Customer Service number tonight (800-934-6489) and was unable to be reconnected.

UPDATE: Spoke with Xfinity customer service and was told that the $49.18 credit will be applied to my August 11 bill so that from now on my Xfinity Internet should be $55/mo (with the free mobile for one year) as my guaranteed monthly price for the next 5 years. Hopefully the $49.18 credit will be applied in time for my autopay on August 11. I was told to check back Thursday, August 6, on the progress or processing of the credit and was given a ticket number for the credit. It would be so great if finally things are going the way they are supposed to.  I'm being told that since the mobile service is free, there is no way to issue a goodwill credit to my account for the time period of June 23-July 23 when my mobile was not functional as it should have been, nor for the time and effort spent on my part regarding failures on Xfinity's part in getting service functional plus the billing errors/erroneous charges.  That's all for now.  I hope that I can stay a longtime Xfinity customer and not have to go elsewhere. We'll see; time will tell.
