i changed my the password on my account and now i can't get emails

I had to change my password in order to view my xfinity bill.  Now my email is asking for the IMAP account password. It will not take the password just created. I have logged into my account online so I know the password is correct. What can I do now?

Thanks for posting on our community forums for assistance with your email concerns, user_6jb9su. I understand that after changing your password, your email app is no longer accepting it, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. This typically happens because the email app is still saving the old password. To resolve this, please remove the Comcast/Xfinity email account from your email app, then add it back using the new password you just created. This will force the app to fully sync with the updated credentials. Please let us know if that resolves the issue.
