email availability while on wifi

I have relocated to Alaska where there is not Xfinity wifi. Starting a few days ago, I was unable to get email on my iphone 17, WHILE ON WIFI, using the email app (both email and OUTLOOK apps). If I turn off wifi I get email as normal? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps but nothing has changed. Has anyone had similar issues? Is the a fix?

Hi there user_bjktzm! Moving is already stressful enough without email issues added to the mix! Xfinity often blocks third-party apps from accessing your mail over outside Wi-Fi for your protection unless this setting is toggled on. Have you confirmed that your Third Party access has been enabled?

If you're not sure how to check, follow the steps listed below:

  • Log in to your email at connect.xfinity.com using a web browser.
  • Click the Gear icon (Settings) in the top right.
  • Select Email Settings > Security.
  • Check the box for "Third Party Access Security".
