Dropped Calls

Last few months our cell phone service has deteriorated. We literally have to step outside to maintain a conversation with person we called. We have even purchased new iPhone and have same effect. What has changed ? We are close to changing to another carrier.

user_9f9v4h Hello, and thank you for reaching out! We can certainly understand your drop call frustration, especially after purchasing a new iPhone! Dropped calls and poor call quality can result from several factors, including changes to nearby cellular towers, increased network congestion, building materials that interfere with signal penetration, or changes in how your device connects to available cellular towers. If the issue has developed over the last few months, it may indicate a network-related change in your area.

*Check whether the issue occurs on multiple phones and lines at the same location.
*Test service in different areas around your neighborhood to determine if it's location-specific.
*Ensure iOS and carrier settings are fully updated.
*Toggle Airplane Mode on and off, or reset network settings.

If available, enable WiFi Calling while at home to improve call reliability indoors. If WiFi calling does not help, there may be something that is interfering with the signal broadcast.

This is happening to all phones on our plan as well.  It is in multiple locations with new and older phones.  Areas that previously had service, no longer do.  I have tried all of the fixes mentioned in your comment.  Relying on Wi-Fi calling, a home Wi-Fi network, or public Wi-Fi is, quite frankly - unacceptable.  What are the network related changes that have degraded the service to unusable?  It is seemingly widespread as there are posts from locations across the country.
