Xfinity Stream portal minimum system requirements
Windows PC requirements
If you access the Xfinity Stream portal on a Windows PC, your PC must meet the following minimum requirements.
HARDWARE
- 3 GHz Intel Pentium 4, AMD Athlon 3400, or faster processor
- 128 MB RAM
- Video card with 64 MB memory.
SUPPORTED OSS
- Windows 11 (Desktop mode)
- Windows 10 (Desktop mode)
- Windows 8 (Desktop mode)
- Windows 7
SUPPORTED WEB BROWSERS
Browser version updates are usually performed automatically, but if you’re on an outdated browser, you may be asked to manually update your browser.

If you access the Xfinity Stream portal on a Macintosh computer (Mac), your Mac must meet the following minimum requirements.

Unsupported platforms
To access Xfinity TV on a mobile device, use the Xfinity Stream app. See Getting started with the Xfinity Stream portal. The Xfinity Stream portal features and functions, including but not limited to video playback, are not guaranteed to work on the following unsupported platforms:
- Windows tablets or phones
- Linux OS
- Other devices
Xfinity Stream app minimum system requirements
Learn which devices are compatible with the Xfinity Stream app, and see the Xfinity Stream app requirements for streaming or downloading programs. Unless stated otherwise, these requirements also apply for accessing NOW TV content.
Note: The Xfinity Stream app is available to all customers with Xfinity service. Features vary depending on your services.

To download the Xfinity Stream app in the Google Play Store, your device must be running Android 7.0 or later.
SUPPORTED XFINITY STREAM APP VERSIONS
To access and watch all content, Xfinity Stream app version 7.4.1 or later is required. Please visit the Google Play Store to download the latest version.
Amazon Fire device requirements
SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS
To download the Xfinity Stream app in the Amazon Appstore, your Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick or tablet devices must be running Fire OS 6 or later.
SUPPORTED XFINITY STREAM APP VERSIONS
To access and watch all content, Xfinity Stream app version 7.4.1 or later is required. Please visit the Amazon Appstore to download the latest version.
Apple iPhone or iPad device requirements
SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS
To download the Xfinity Stream app in the Apple App Store, your device must be running iOS 14.0 or later.
SUPPORTED XFINITY STREAM APP VERSIONS
To access and watch all content, Xfinity Stream app version 7.8.0 or later is required. Please visit the Apple App Store to download the latest version.
Apple TV requirements
SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS
To add the Xfinity Stream app to your Apple TV, your TV must be running tvOS 15 or later.

To access and watch all content, Xfinity Stream app version 2.1.0 or later is required.

Casting requirements
SUPPORTED OPERATING SYSTEMS
You can also cast Xfinity Stream content to any device capable of supporting Chromecast or Apple AirPlay.
The following Chromecast platforms support Xfinity Stream:
- Chromecast 1st gen, Chromecast 2nd gen, Chromecast 3rd gen
- Chromecast 4th gen (Chromecast with Google TV)
- Chromecast Ultra Google Nest Hub
To cast to Apple AirPlay, iOS version 14.0 or above is required.
Streaming and downloading requirements
To stream or download content in the Xfinity Stream app:
- You must be an Xfinity customer. For more information, see the Xfinity Stream app overview.
- Your device must have an active internet connection through WiFi or a cellular network to watch live, On Demand, or recorded content. An internet connection is not required for downloaded content.
- Using a cellular network may incur data charges; check your wireless provider's rate plan for details.
- To stream in-home live TV, you must be connected to your in-home Xfinity network. Outside of the home, 250+ channels are available to stream.
Unsupported devices
The Xfinity Stream app cannot be installed on the following unsupported devices:
- Android TV
- Windows tablets and phones
- Nook devices
- Apple Watch
- Xi5 streaming TV Boxes for Xfinity Flex
- Chromebooks
- Other devices not specifically mentioned
International viewing
Xfinity TV programs cannot be streamed outside of the United States. However, programs downloaded to your mobile device can be viewed offline anywhere, even while you're in other countries. Learn more about cloud and Xfinity On Demand content for devices.
