ANSWERED: Xfinity Stream Minimum Requirements
Xfinity Stream App
Learn which devices are compatible with the Xfinity Stream app, and see the Xfinity Stream app requirements for streaming or downloading programs.
Note: The Xfinity Stream app is available to all customers with Xfinity service. Features vary depending on your services.
Android Device Requirements
Supported Operating Systems
To find and download the Xfinity Stream app in the Google Play Store or Amazon App stores, your device must be running Android 5.0 or later. Any smartphone, tablet or Fire TV device running Android 4 or earlier is not supported.
Supported Xfinity Stream App Versions
To access and watch all content, including content available to watch when out-of-home, Xfinity Stream app version 6.9.0 or later is required. Please visit the Google Play Store to download the latest version.
Please note that for Amazon devices, users can visit the Amazon App Store to download the latest version.
Apple Device Requirements
Supported Operating Systems
To find and download the Xfinity Stream app in the Apple App Store, your device must be running iOS 13.0 or later. AirPlay is not supported at this time.
Supported Xfinity Stream App Versions
To access and watch all content, including content available to watch when out-of-home, Xfinity Stream app version 6.9.1 or later is required. Please visit the Apple App Store to download the latest version.
Xfinity Flex Device Requirements
If you’re an Xfinity Flex customer, say "Upgrade to Xfinity TV ” into your Xfinity Voice Remote to upgrade to Choice TV with Xfinity Flex. See What is Choice TV for details.
Note: If you have an Xi5 device, you can upgrade to Choice TV with Xfinity Flex, but you’ll need to swap out your Xi5 for an Xi6 device.
Streaming and Downloading Requirements
To stream or download programs in the Xfinity Stream app:

- You must be an Xfinity customer.

- If you are an Xfinity TV customer, you can watch anything your subscription allows. The program you want to access must be on a channel included in your channel lineup. For example, your channel lineup must include HBO for you to view or download HBO programs.
- Non-Xfinity TV customers can watch select unrestricted free content.
- Your device must have an active Internet connection through WiFi or a 3G/4G cellular network. Using a cellular network may incur data charges; check your wireless provider's rate plan for details.
- To stream in-home live TV, you must be connected to your in-home Xfinity network.
- Downloading content is only available on mobile devices (not on Xfinity Flex streaming TV Boxes).
- Pay Per View events are not available in the app.
Unsupported Devices
The Xfinity Stream app cannot be installed on the following unsupported devices:

- Android TV
- Windows tablets and phones
- Nook devices
- Apple TV
- Apple Watch
- Xi5 streaming TV Boxes for Xfinity Flex
- Other devices not specifically mentioned
International Viewing
Xfinity TV programs cannot be streamed outside of the United States. However, programs downloaded to your mobile device can be viewed offline anywhere, even while you're in other countries. Learn more about cloud and Xfinity On Demand content for devices.
Xfinity Stream Portal
Learn the minimum requirements for the computer hardware, operating system and web browser you'll need to use the Xfinity Stream portal successfully.
Windows PC Requirements
If you access the Xfinity Stream portal on a Windows PC, your PC must meet the following minimum requirements.

- 128 MB RAM
- Video card with 64 MB memory

Note: As of October 1, 2019, the Xfinity Stream portal (web) doesn't support any version of Internet Explorer.

Macintosh Computer Requirements
If you access the Xfinity Stream portal on a Macintosh computer (Mac), your Mac must meet the following minimum requirements.

- Video card with 64 MB memory
Supported Operating Systems

- OS X 10.7 or later (OS X 10.14.4 or later if using Safari)
Web Browsers
Browser version updates are usually performed automatically, but if you’re on an outdated browser, you may be asked to manually update your browser.

Mobile Web Browser Requirements
Xfinity Stream (xfinity.com/stream) on mobile web is supported on iOS, Android and Amazon Kindles using the devices and operating systems listed below. Please note that playback will still require the native iOS/Android/Amazon application, but all functionality outside of playback is supported on mobile web including but not limited to: login, browse, search, purchases, rentals and subscriptions.
Supported Hardware: iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Amazon Kindle Phone/Tablet
Supported OS Versions: iOS 11+ and later, Android 7.0 and later
Supported Mobile Web Browsers: Chrome and Safari on iOS, Chrome, Firefox and Samsung Internet on Android
Unsupported Platforms
To access Xfinity TV on a mobile device, use the Xfinity Stream app. See Getting Started with the Xfinity Stream Portal.
Xfinity Stream portal features and functions, including but not limited to video playback, aren't guaranteed to work on the following unsupported platforms:

- Apple TV
